'Can You Take...?'
As you can probably imagine, a question we are asked a lot is, 'Can you take... (insert dog/cat/cockerel)?'
Sadly, the answer is often 'Sorry, no'. If there was a Sanctuary School, the first class would be 'How To Say No Over And Over Again And Not Feel Guilty About It Every Time'. Saying 'No' is a LOT harder than saying 'Yes', knowing we are often the last or only chance an animal has.
We always help if we can, but like it is for every rescue and sanctuary requests for help are constant and we are usually running at or just below capacity with demand far exceeding the rescue and sanctuary spaces available. The situation in society is at crisis point and the animals are paying a huge price for the faliability of humans.
We MIGHT be able to help in some instances, depending on the species, temperament, circumstances, current spaces available, etc.
We CAN sometimes help with dogs, cats, sheep, pigs, geese, ducks, hens, turkeys, quail and cockerels (oh so many cockerels!).
We CANNOT help with large farmed animals, horses or exotics as we don't have the land, facilities, or knowledge.
If you have or know of an animal who is in need please call Alexis on 07423559921 and we will help if we can.
